About the Program

Get on Board is a practical program that we launched in 2020 to promote diversity on boards and support the next generation of female board members in Jordan. This program aims to equip current and prospective advisors with the knowledge and skills required to be effective board members through comprehensive training that combines technical knowledge with practical experience and mentorship. The 12-week technical training will cover corporate governance, family enterprise boards, the specificity of startup boards, and governance for NGOs. Selected participants will also be coached on executive presence and leadership. The training sessions are delivered by a group of subject matter experts from top global institutions.

The technical training concludes with a formal exam that deals with specific issues related to the effectiveness of a company's board. Post-training, the Advisors will benefit from group mentorship sessions with renowned champions, who will provide advice and guidance on their journeys to becoming full-fledged board members. To pay it forward, the advisors will participate in building the capacity in relation to governance for selected local companies & NGOs.


There is a strong link between women on boards and better financial performance. Inclusive and gender-balanced boards are able to bring diverse perspectives to the table; understand customer preferences better, ensure greater due diligence and as a result make better decisions.
